Persona Cosmetics is adding a new product to its lineup

Persona Cosmetics is releasing lipglosses!

I love a great lipgloss. It is the most effortless way to wear color on your lips. It goes on easily, even without a mirror, and is comfortable the entire time.

I think these glosses are a great move. The colors are gorgeous and all completely wearable. If I had to pick one it’d probably be Honey, but my preference would be to grab all three. Since Persona is on my list of brands to try this year, I will be putting these on my list.

What’s your favorite kind of lip product?

New eyeshadow palette from Beauty Bakerie

Beauty Bakerie is releasing a new eyeshadow palette exclusively on RileyRose.com. What’s the theme? Banana pudding.

Beauty Bakerie is definitely a brand that I want to try this year. I love the story behind the brand. The creator and owner is a WOC who started the company after she survived breast cancer. I also love that all of their products follow a dessert theme.

Unfortunately, this palette is not going to be the item that I grab from them. While I love banana pudding (when done correctly), I dont think it makes for a very interesting eyeshadow palette. In fact, if the more orangey color has been swapped for a cooler-toned brown, this could’ve made for a face palette that I would’ve grabbed.

What do you guys think about this palette? Have you tried anything else from Beauty Bakerie?

*note- If you are interested in checking out the brand, a lot of their products are now sold at Ulta.

Three kinds of matte bullet lipsticks?

Good morning!

“Who said there is only one kind of Matte?”

That’s what Italian indie makeup brand, Nabla, is asking us all. On February 7th, they will be releasing three brand new matte bullet lipstick formulas. Here’s are the descriptions of each:

Provided I find shades that I like and would wear, I am definitely planning on grabbing one of each of these formulas. Not only do they sound super interesting (especially the Bounce Matte), but I’d like to compare them to each other.

Will they really be that different? What do you guys think about this release? Let’s chat!

Sale Alert: $3 Single shadows

In order to celebrate the launch of their new website, brand new indie brand, Fancy Beauty Cosmetics is having a one-day sale of their single shadows.

Purchasing singles from indie brands is a great way to create a palette of your dreams while also supporting small business. Plus, indie brands tend to have super unique colors you won’t ever find elsewhere.

Let me know in the comments which shadows you pick up. Also, share your favorite indie brand so I can check them out. I plan on focusing a lot of my energy on trying smaller brands this year. The mainstream market has been getting a bit repetitive.

Happy shopping!

Melt is releasing a new limited-edition stack this week.

Happy Monday!

It’s been a while since I’ve last heard about a new stack from Melt Cosmetics, but this week they will be releasing a brand new, totally vegan stack in limited edition packaging.

The Blueprint stack will be available on January 18th at 12pm PST. I haven’t seen a price, but the other melt stacks are either $48 or $58 (4 colors- $48, 5 colors-$58). I’m super curious about how they’ll price this one because the split pans are something I’ve never seen them do before.

I’ve never tried any of the Melt stacks, despite wanting to. I do think this one is really interesting and different, so I’m thinking that I may get it as long as the price doesn’t go over the $58 that I’m expecting.

What do you guys think about the split pan stack? Have you tried Melt Cosmetic’s eyeshadows before?

This new eyeshadow palette is really trying my resolve to buy less makeup.

Good morning!

Makeup Maniac Cosmetics has released their Peanut Butter & Jealous eyeshadow palette, and guys, it’s beautiful.

To be honest, I REALLY want this palette. It’s only $23 and the colors are perfect for fall and winter. I love the mix of olive green, mauve, burgundy with the various shades of brown. The gold in the center is the perfect shimmer color to compliment all of the other colors.

Honestly, I am probably going to get this palette, but I will wait until after I have the Warrior palette from Juvia’s Place. I think they may have similar vibes, even though the JP palette is all matte. This one is going on my “maybe” list, but it’s definitely a hard one to pass up. Hopefully, if I do decide to get it, it is still in stock. You always run the risk of actually missing out with small indie brands.

What do you guys think? Would you jump on this one, especially knowing quantities are limited?

Blush Tribe has finally reeled me in. They have announced a new palette that is very different from any of their previous releases, and I have got to have it.

Good morning!

So, my favorite indie brand to watch, Blush Tribe, has announced a new palette in collaboration with makeup artist, Sonia Zarine.

We don’t have any release dates yet, but I will be watching closely because I really want this palette. The Blush Tribe palettes are usually ultra colorful, and not ones that I would get a ton of use from, but I can see myself grabbing this one a lot, for both day and night looks.

The owner of Blush Tribe said that this palette was created in response to many requests from makeup artists to make a palette that they can use on their deeper-skinned clients. I love that because this will work perfectly for me. Since I don’t know when it will be released, I am going to have to save some room in my beauty budget to grab it when it is.

What do you guys think about this palette? It’s definitely different from what Blush Tribe usually releases.
