Morning Makeup Musings #48

So, Lorac has also introduced a new set of mini Unzipped eyeshadow palettes, and I have to say I was a bit surprised when I saw them.

The first one I saw was this bronze palette, called Brazen, and I immediately thought of the Persona palette that came out as a set last fall.

There are two other palettes (available now at Ulta), one is a neutral palette with a pink shade, and the other is a cool-tones palette with what looks like a burgundy shimmer.

Honestly, the cool-toned palette, Elegance, also reminded me of something- the newest mini palette from Natasha Denona, released at the end of December.

Despite the similarities, it takes brands quite a while to develop and release new products. Because they were all released within a few months of each other, it’s hard for me to say Lorac borrowed ideas from either of those brands.

That being said, I do think I will pick up the Elegance palette. I really like the color selections based on the photos, but it’s hard to tell for sure because Ulta doesn’t show swatches pics 👎🏾. I’m going to try to find it in store, but if I can’t I’ll just add it to my next online order.
