Morning Makeup Musings #28

Good morning!

So, Wet ‘n Wild just announced that they are adding a new product to their Photo Focus line: the Stick Foundation.

I have to say, I’m really intrigued by this product. As you can see from the screen grab (it was an IG vid), Wet n Wild is claiming that it will have a satin matte finish. In my experience, stick foundations always tend to feel a bit oily, even if they are oil free.

Wet n Wild’s original Photo Focus Foundation fell out of my rotation because despite the satin finish, it was really oily (like super impossible to even get out of my makeup brushes because it was like they were covered in grease).Since there are no claims that it is oil-free, I’m thinking this stick foundation will be the same way.

That being said, I am pretty sure I will be skipping this release. There is no date on it, but I’ll keep an eye out for reviews just because I’m still curious about it.

Do you guys know of any stick foundations that actually work well on oily skin? Let me know in the comments!

Let’s chat!

  1. I’ve been using the Colourpop stock foundation, and I have oily skin. I read reviews of other people with oily skin saying it worked great. For me it’s okay, I won’t be purchasing it again. The oxidation is kind of annoying to deal with (it seems to be only sometimes?) I don’t mind it for during the week, but on weekends when I tend to stay out later I can feel like just melting off at the end of the day 😩 but I love the idea of a stick foundation!

    1. I’ve been kinda using too, but I already know I won’t be purchasing it again either. It’s definitely not as oily as other stick foundations I’ve tried, but I can still feel it on my skin. The last time I wore it, I just wiped it off immediately. 😩
