Good morning and happy Cyber Monday!
@beautynewsoffical shared this gorgeous release from Linda Hallberg Cosmetics: Metallic Mysteries II palette.
This all metallic palette is absolutely gorgeous. However, from looking both at the Beauty News Official post as well as multiple posts on the brand’s IG, the biggest thing I noticed is that this palette is not being labeled specifically as an eyeshadow palette.
The only time I’ve seen brands do that is when one or more of the colors is not approved by the FDA as being eye-safe*. Do people still us the colors on their eyes? Yes. There are tons of palettes that are currently on the market that include shadows/pigments that aren’t technically eye-safe that consumers don’t even realize are not eyeshadows.
That being said, I have decided to be a bit more picky with my purchases to try to avoid products that may irritate my eyes. So, as stunning as this palette is, I’ll save my $59 for another day and another release.
What do you guys think? Would you use these colors as eyeshadows? Did you know that palettes can be released with non-eye-safe shadows mixed in with actual eyeshadows?Let’s chat!
*Update: I have seen subsequent posts and on the product page where the brand says this palette (as well as the rest of their palettes) are multi-functional and you can “use the colors for your face, eyes, brows and body.” (https://shop.lindahallberg.se/product/metallic-mysteries-2-palette/)
