Project Pan: Using up my non-cruelty-free products #3

Hi guys!

So, I am happy to say that I have finished up my first item in my project pan: Diorskin Nude Skin-Glowing Makeup Sunscreen.

I have to say, this is the product I will probably be the happiest about removing from my collection. This foundation was completely wrong for my oily/combination skin. I wore it one day last spring and was horrified to find (on my way to an event) that after only a few hours, my face looked like it was covered in olive oil. In the end, I was able to make it work by mixing it with my Nyx Total control drops, and waiting until the weather cooled off. For $50, though, I don’t want to have to mix in anything.

Since this product was absolutely wrong for my skin, I don’t have a cruelty-free option that is exactly comparable. The closest product that I would recommend is the It Cosmetics CC+ Cream. It also has SPF and gives the skin a dewy finish, but it does not make me look like grease-ball.  The It Cosmetics is also significantly less expensive and has more skin-improving benefits.

Since I am done with this foundation, I am going to add in two more that I think I can finish by Thanksgiving 🦃: Make Up For Ever, Mat Velvet+ and the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD.

Since both of these foundations are pretty matte, I am also adding a luminizing primer to the mix since I like more of a glowing base.

Since this primer is basically full, I don’t think I’ll be able to finish it by the end of the year, but I am hoping to finish it before the weather starts to warm up again in the spring.

So… that’s one product out, three products in. Are you guys doing a project pan? Is it rolling or are you trying to finish by the end of the year? Let’s chat!
